Another day another burst water main, another diversion
Some diversions chosen for routes go through the effort of adding many miles just to avoid 1-2 stops.
In the case of R68/R70, a restructure of terminus on both routes.
In the case of 3 normally and 322 the past two weeks, this monstrosity.
Every journey matters... walk or get an Uber.
Fictional: 296 396 into one bus route, with two different numbers
A quick post to get out during the holiday. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Promo for Bifurcated buses.
Basically tackling a more efficient approach to cut resources without actually cutting needed capacity.
For a long time 296/396 worked together as an every 10 combined route, for decades in fact. Then 296 alone got a frequency increase thus throwing this to the wayside. Unlike 406 and 418 were both had increases.
As for why my scheduling has 296s change into 396s and vice versa, the 166 does that. Look at it's schedule and how barely no bus doesn't end up going to Epsom.
